Training to be a doctor takes a long time, in which you need to be sure that this is the career that you're interested in. Generally medical school graduates are about 26 years old. Some doctors focus on a particular field and they complete the education in the mid-thirties.

Doctors help people to live long. When people acquire illnesses, doctors give care and treatment. They also give advice about diets, exercises, and nutritions. Doctors do tests to perceive what is ill.

Family and general practitioners are frequently the first doctors that people go to when they get illnesses. These doctors treat general problems. They also send patients to other doctors, called specialists who are experts in diverse types of health problems.

  • A pediatrician is a medical doctor who specializes in the care and treatment of children. He or she can answer questions about your child's general health.

  • Various doctors work day and night to deal with emergencies. In 2004, some doctors worked more than 60 hours a week. But doctors who work in small offices habitually have more time off.

Of all jobs, Doctors are one of the best-paid jobs and with good benefits. Doctor's salaries can't compare to a lot of other jobs. According to in 2004, most doctors earned between $133,000 and $321,000.
